When we talk about courage, we usually imagine some kind of grand gesture, an act of valor, or bravery.
Yet, most of the time, it's quite the opposite.
It means having the tough talk. Putting up a boundary. Asking for help. Trying something different. Being vocal. Making a fresh start. Coming as you are even when it's easier to hide.
And the reality is that fear and courage can go hand in hand.
Courage: The Next Brave Thing is an opportunity to examine how it feels to be courageous in your everyday life, not as an abstract concept, but as a practice. With the help of guided art-making, introspection, and dialogue, we will explore the situations where courage was needed, the things that hold us back from being brave and the opportunities that come with taking that step forward.
During the workshop, we will create multi-layered art pieces that embody our doubts and hopes, acknowledging the fact that courage is not the lack of fear. It's the willingness to keep going despite it.
No previous artistic experience is required. This workshop is all about exploring your courage through art-making.
